Love this place. This is my husband and my second time staying at Five Gables Inn. First time we stayed in the main building .Room was nice had a lovely balcony..only downside was it was close to the pool, therefore the room was a little humid. This time we stayed across the street in the brick building. It was fabulous. Nice front porch viewing main street. Love the country cozy decor in the room. Bed was super comfortable. Jacuzzi tub was most relaxing! Walking distance to everything you need. Great place to stay in St. Micheals!
It was welcoming, comforting, relaxing & very convenient to all the local shops. Almost everything was within walking distance. I would most definitely recommend staying here. We really enjoyed our stay here & will definitely stay here again next time we're in St. Michael's, MD.
The 5 Gables Inn is nice. Great location. However walls in the main building a paper thin. Like staying in a tent between the rooms. Some nuts in the next room got into an altercation and made for a tough night. Hotel management came and quieted things down. We left in the morning after a nice breakfast. Didn’t ask for any compensation but may look for another place to stay next time in St Michaels.
Great stay at Five Gables. Only missing thing was creamer for the coffee in the morning. I love my coffee at dawn. No biggy though I made it through. We did have to sleep with the door open due to the heat upstairs but what a great way to hear the birds in the morning. Had an evening relaxing swim and great rest between the local fire company blasting through town 3 times Friday night. Thank you Five Gables Inn for a great anniversary!
This was our first time there and we think Five Gables is an excellent bed and breakfast. The room was exactly as described on their website. The bed was very comfortable as were the bed linens. The whirlpool tub and shower were way above what you'd expect and the towels were large, soft and fluffy. To top it all off their customer service was even better than the room. When I made the reservation I told them we were coming down to celebrate our 45th anniversary and asked them if they could arrange to have some flowers in the room. When we got there we found a beautiful bouquet of long stem roses with a Happy Anniversary card in it. This might have been our first stay there but it won't be our last.
Our favourite quaint and relaxing 'short get-away' from the DC area, both in summer and winter seasons! Wonderfully personable staff (both at the Inn and the Spa). So happy to see the business has been able to expand to other buildings across the high street. The rooms have gas fireplaces, jacuzzis, and access to an indoor pool (the only one in St Michaels), steam and sauna rooms.
This is the only place we adore staying at in St. Michaels. The rooms are beautiful, service friendly, and amenities are awesome. With a fireplace, double whirlpool tub, indoor pool, sauna, AND steam room you've got to stay here. Absolutely love Five Gables!
